Photos of my friend:
One of my closest friends came to visit and I bought a lens because of it... Whatever you may have heard, that's his fault I'm spending my money. I told him that it sucked to be him but he would have to pose for me for a concept portrait session I had in mind. Fortunately, he was more than happy to indulge.

Noice.

I like to photograph the people I love because when I tap into that part of me that is about empathy and love, my photos become more beautiful, more personal, more about the person I am photographing... and less about me.

They are my interpretations of the person seating for me.

A Tale of two photos:

My dad came to visit recently and I wanted to photograph him. He did not understand why (or wanted the attention) but he agreed and was a good sport about it... for 15 minutes.

These photos were taken on 2 different days:
1. to test my lighting and my new lens,
2. for the actual photoshoot.

I realized something deep (completely after the facts) so hold on to your socks, I'm inviting you to Antoine's psyche... because he posed for me on 2 different days I realized that these 2 photos are interpretations. BOOM! Call back!

1. an interpretation of who my father is to his granddaughters.
2. an interpretation of who my father is to me.

A couple of weeks ago, I was shooting a wedding... as I am prone to do once in a while. This is the happy mothers of Ashley and Chris as they are marrying their children.

Explanatory comma: This is my philosophy as a photographer. I am constantly looking for the better picture. I am constantly moving finding the better angle, finding the better story. I am nowhere near good enough.
