Monica and Tausha's wedding
I never thought to blog about this wedding because I was there as a guest.
Monica and Tausha are close friends of mine and I took my camera to the wedding to give them a different perspective and to create a few photos but never with the intention of overshadowing the main photographer they had hired. I did not want to get in the way or make my friends feel overwhelmed by the presence of another photographer.
Plus, I was there to enjoy myself and be with my friends. I’m always on the other side of the lens, so this was a really nice change.
The reason I’m showing the pictures now is because I went over the photos recently and really appreciated the work I had done that day. I made photos I would want to see at my own wedding and I’m glad to say I pushed my creativity hard that day and came up with some really unsual shots.
I know I’ve talked about being an LGBTQ+ ally several times and if there are several references on my website that really clearly state my support to the community but besides being my friends, I never think of them as being gay but it struck me a little bit more that day when I saw the rainbow of friends and family that was gathered at that wedding… and it made me happy.
Anyways, enjoy the photos.
